My beautiful daughter Kimberly barely graduated from the University of North Texas this year. When I say ‘barely’ I’m not talking about her grades. She could have easily been killed simply walking across campus to her next class.
Just outside her classroom, a huge tree branch, the main limb’s diameter was 13 inches across, fell onto the sidewalk and on top of Kimberly. She was pinned under the branch until a group of passersby helped drag her from under it.
Campus security was called. Reports were filled out and turned in to UNT administration. Kimberly went to the Emergency Room for treatment . . . and UNT absolutely refused to reimburse her for any of her medical expenses.
So parents, please heed my warning. If you care about your children as much as I care about mine, then don’t send them off to the death campus at UNT. Find a more ethical and compassionate school to further their education.
UNT turned out to be the ultimate School of Hard Knocks for my little girl.
